Job Description

The Enteprise Monitoring Analyst will support the EOC and Operations teams by providing in-depth health and performance analysis as required. S/He will interact daily with supervisory, technical, and client staff on all project matters within the area of responsibility.

Must work well with general guidance, generate competent technical input for operations type documentation, be detailed and security oriented.  Must have excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to deal with multiple contractors and government organization.  Must have worked in large enterprise class type environments, be in line with industry best practices, think outside the box, and be able to make recommendations to improve overall governance and support continuous improvement.


  • 4-6 years of progressive enterprise health & performance monitoring experience.
  • Infrastructure and application support experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to support executive management incident debriefs and root cause analysis reports.
  • Customer advocate capable of exceeding expectations and incorporating customer service into all aspects of work.


  • Recommend improvements to enhance information system operational availability, reliability, performance of the EOC’s customer base.
  • Assist in the establishment of templates, knowledge base articles and scripts required to support the Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) during incident response.
  • Maintain relevant service delivery catalogs and associated monitoring baselines.
  • Manage, track, report, and perform all tasks as assigned.

Hands-On Exposure:

  • Advanced knowledge and usage of the latest version of Cisco Crossworks Situation Manager.
  • Maintain and administer enterprise services, security protection mechanisms, automation scripts or system maintenance/monitoring automation to improve uptime and reduce support.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of the latest Microsoft and Red Hat operating systems.
  • Knowledge of government security policies and general vulnerabilities management.
  • Multi-platform scripting abilities (e.g. PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.) are a plus.
  • Hands on experience with tools like Ansible, Puppet or other similar CM type tools are a plus.

  • Results Oriented: Able to drive things forward regardless of personal interest in the task.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree with 2-3 years of experience preferred or 4-6 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Moogsoft AIOps Administrator Training (v6.5 or 7.x) required.
  • Cisco Crosswork Situation Manager v6.5 or 7.x Implementer Training required.
  • SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP – NPM/SAM) a plus.
  • User Splunk certification (User or Power User) a plus.
  • Any Microsoft, Red Hat or Amazon certifications are a plus.
  • Comfortable in a fast pace work environment.

Shift Work and Travel:

  • Base Shift hours: 8:00 AM ET – 5:00 PM ET, M-F (flexibility is required)
  • Must be available for on-call support as required.
  • Work location: Bowie, MD.
  • Limited/Occasional telework may be available.


Security Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a Public Trust Assessment.

 Place of Performance:

  • Bowie Data Center in Bowie, Md. with some local travel to the Suitland Federal Center located 20 minutes away in Suitland Md.
